Marghera House

The owner was considerate and very helpful. He was easy to reach, gave us useful suggestions for restaurants and nearby places to see, and helped us understand local dos and donts during our first 2 days in Italy. He also pointed us to nearby markets. We arrived late because our flight landed at night, and he didn’t charge extra for the late check-in, unlike other places. There was no drinking water available, which felt odd. We offered to pay, though we understood it was late. With water available too, the place would have been perfect. Otherwise, it was good value for money :)

The host was really helpful, and the location is nice. You can walk to every attraction in about 25 minutes, and there’s a bus from Termini train station straight to Vatican. The house is cramped, though. There’s just one bathroom, with a single toilet and shower for 3-4 rooms, so getting ready in the morning takes ages.

The location was the only good part of this stay. There were bed bugs everywhere. We told the guy at the reception, but he wouldn’t listen, avoided us, and just tried to change the subject. The room was really dirty, the linens were disgusting, the shower leaked and left the floor like a pool, and the toilet was broken. Everything smelled bad. The pictures don’t match the “REAL” rooms. GUYS, YOU CAN FIND BETTER OPTIONS FOR THE SAME PRICE!!!!

The owner was very helpful with suggestions about where to go, and we enjoyed our stay. The price was good, the rooms were clean, and there’s a small lift inside. It’s very close to the main terminal, but there’s only 1 bathroom for the floor.
