Baglioni Hotel Regina - The Leading Hotels of the World

The location worked well for us: it’s about a 10-minute walk to the Spanish Steps, and the nearest metro is also around 10 minutes away, with a slight uphill walk. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, with its fresh cold cuts, cheeses, pastries and all those jams. The made-to-order omelette and crepe were delicious too. Staff across the hotel, from the front desk and concierge to the spa, restaurant, room service, bell team and front door, were welcoming, attentive and really helpful. We also booked private use of the spa and sauna, which was a lovely way to unwind. At Brunello, the appetizers and desserts were very good, especially the “Battuta di filetto di manzo con nocciole e tartufo nero pregiato, composta di peperoni rossi all'agrodolce, cialda di riso nero” and the Tiramisù Regina.

The food was delicious, the hotel is beautiful, and the staff were amazing. My husband and I spent two nights here at the beginning of our vacation, and it was quite an experience. We wished we could have stayed longer, though maybe there’ll be a next time. If you want to experience really great service, this is the place.

What a lovely start to our visit: after our overnight flight, OLGA welcomed us so warmly while our rooms were being prepared. We waited in a gorgeous room with chandeliers, beautiful draperies and comfortable, exquisite furniture, and a lovely lady brought us drinks. My first cappuccino came with the cutest foam heart. The manager had also upgraded our rooms to the EXQUISITE LUDOVISI SUITE, which was breathtaking and had every amenity we could imagine. Everything was immaculately clean. A bottle of champagne, fruit and chocolates were delivered for my son and his beautiful fiancee to celebrate their engagement, which was so kind. The staff kept making things easy throughout our stay. One morning we had to leave early for a tour, and they put together three beautiful bags of breakfast foods and drinks, plus fresh cappuccinos to go. Breakfast was included every morning and delicious, with a huge choice of food and lovely preparation and presentation from the chefs. We also had an hour to ourselves in the beautiful spa, where Elena was so kind and lovely. When there was a mix-up with our scheduled driver, Marco quickly hailed us a taxi. We were also fortunate to meet Rocco and Stephania, and every staff member at the MAGNIFICENT BAGLIONI HOTEL went above and beyond. This was the most beautiful and memorable Rome visit. Of all the places we visited, including the Amalfi Coast, Florence and Venice, we all agreed that the Baglioni Hotel in Rome was our number one for its beauty and the kindness, professionalism and hospitality shown to guests. We liked the hotel's classic Roman Italian style and boutique feel. It isn't a huge resort, and the rooms were a mixed bag. During our two weeks, we first stayed in suite 212, which was spacious enough but felt dated. The floor was dusty throughout our stay, the bathroom needed repairs, and the shower heads were clogged. It was very quiet at night, though. Room 126 was more modern and cleaner, and its shower worked properly. The service was the strongest part of the stay. Everyone we dealt with, from check-in and the doormen and porters to the restaurant, room service and housekeeping teams, was friendly, welcoming and smiling. They really made us feel looked after. We also learned that irons and ironing boards aren't typically provided in Italian hotel rooms, which was a cultural difference for us, not a big drawback. Baglioni is on Via Vittorio Veneto, directly across from the U. S. Embassy. There isn't a lot within walking distance, but the Vatican, Colosseum and train station are about a 15-minute taxi ride away. Check the fare before getting into a taxi, as some drivers may try to overcharge. We'd happily stay here again and recommend it to visitors to Rome. Baglioni didn't disappoint, and the service made up for the inconsistent rooms.
