The Umbria-style food was decent, and the location was good. The service prices felt a bit inflated, though, so avoid it if you're on a budget.

Paola went out of her way to make sure everyone was comfortable, and her kindness and help meant a lot to us. We were seven families, 13 adults and 15 children, and the outdoor areas were perfect for the kids. Breakfast was excellent too. We stayed recently with friends and will definitely come back this summer to enjoy the pool.

The pool is a good size, with loungers and umbrellas, and sits among olive trees and extensive, unspoiled grounds. There are also independent apartments, and room prices seem in line with the current Italian average. The rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent, though mostly sweet, with fresh tarts and delicious ring cakes alongside homemade jams prepared by Chiara, a fantastic woman. The property sits in a fabulous hilly area that captures the Umbrian feel people look for when escaping metropolitan cities. Mrs. Paola is its real strength. She's kind, always available for personal needs, and happy to suggest nearby restaurants. Highly recommended.

We'd definitely return. The farm's olive oil is delicious and available to buy, and the pool is beautiful, with breathtaking sunsets. La Perticara sits in the hills outside the charming village of Portaria, surrounded by olive trees, forest, and greenery. The accommodations are arranged to give everyone their own privacy. We received a warm welcome, and breakfast was excellent, thanks to the talented woman who bakes the cakes and welcomes guests in the dining room.
