The breakfast was such a treat, especially the eggs and fresh juice, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Our room was good, and the location kept us away from the crowds while still making it easy to get around by bus. I’d recommend the bus over driving to Amalfi or Positano. I only wish we’d stayed an extra night. I’d definitely return to the area and stay here again.

San Lazzaro is a cute town, though getting around without a car and relying on buses and trains was difficult. We ended up hitchhiking and met some nice locals. The owner was lovely and shared lots of tips for exploring the area. The site was a little noisy, and our tent spot was somewhat hilly. Still, the price felt fair: €20 a night for two people, including a toilet and shower.

We had our own campervan and found the site functional, with excellent showers and toilets for €1. The bus stops right outside, and the ride to Amalfi takes 45 minutes. It’s quite a ride, like Alton towers, but from Amalfi you can connect to buses and ferries along the rest of the coast. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff. You need to buy bus tickets in advance, and they sell them there. If you’ve got the energy, The Path of the Gods was great, with mostly downhill walking and 1700 steps down into Positano.

We stayed three nights in a bungalow on the hillside, with easy access to the famous hiking trails and good public transport nearby. It had everything we needed, including a kitchen with cooking equipment and a cafe maker, plus a TV, heating and air conditioning. The private shower rooms were clean. I’d definitely recommend “Path of Gods” for the rich nature views between the mountains and ocean.
