Our host was quick to respond and really helpful. The apartment worked perfectly for three of us, with balconies off both rooms and plenty of space. It was exceptionally clean, from the linens and towels to the surfaces, and everything was well equipped and maintained. The location is terrific too, with major sights within walking distance and plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby.

There’s loads of storage, and the kitchen is well equipped. The place is spotless and has a great location, with plenty of room for a family to stay comfortably.

The quiet atmosphere made it feel like we had our own apartment in Rome. The lobby was stocked with lots of water, tea, and coffee, and there was a washer and dryer downstairs with detergent provided for free. Everything we needed was close at hand, and both the building and its location were phenomenal. We’d definitely stay here again next time we’re in Rome.

The front desk clerk pointed us to places to eat nearby and let us hang out in the lobby after checkout. The room seemed recently renovated, but still had that vintage Italy feel. Everything was clean, the staff were great, and we could walk to everything. The bed was kind of hard, though it wasn’t too bad for a three-night stay. Thanks, Sonder. We’ll be back soon!

We rented two apartments and were disappointed with both. The part-time staff were friendly and helpful, and the apartments were spacious and very well located, but they were in poor shape. The problems were mostly small on their own, yet together they made the stay unpleasant. One apartment had such a strong disinfectant or cleaning-product smell that it made me nauseated, and it lingered for three days. The mattresses were so poor that our companion took one from the sofa bed and slept on the floor. There was no heat during cold weather in Rome. After a long exchange with online support, we were told the next day that heating was unavailable under a local ordinance due to the war in Ukraine. That may be understandable, but we should have been told in advance. The building keypad stopped working one night, though it seemed to be reset after we contacted Sonder support online. A washer and dryer had been advertised, but the dryer was out of order and waiting for parts. There was rotting bathroom molding, several broken pieces of furniture, and more problems besides. None was major by itself, but all of it added up to a very unpleasant experience.
