B&B Citta Dei Templi

The hosts were really nice, and the place is perfectly located in Agrigento. It's close to the station and has free parking.

We were in the Giove room. The location is excellent, close to the city center and about a 15-minute drive from the Valley of the Temples and Scala dei Turchi. The room itself had quite a few problems: stained sheets when we arrived, and broken window frames opening onto the terrace that wouldn't shut properly. The door dragged along the floor and took a lot of force to open. In the bathroom, the drain motor made an annoying noise, and the outlet seemed very dangerous and not up to standard. Of the four lamps, just one worked, and even that one flickered.

Our room overlooked the pub, so we could hear the noise. The location is excellent, an easy walk to the center, but the rest was disappointing. The shower barely dripped, which made washing difficult, and although the room was for two, there were towels for only one. They'd also left the garbage in the alley out front. The price felt high for what we got, so I don't recommend it.

We paid €47.00 each, €94.00 for the room, after having spent only a little more the night before on a 4-star hotel with breakfast included. We were on a motorcycle tour and stopped here as a guesthouse, without expecting much, but even so, it was a letdown. Our room was Giunone, above a pub. The music was turned down at some point, but the customers' loud conversations and the sound of empty bottles being thrown kept us awake very late. We thought about shutting everything and using the air conditioning, but it was even louder, so we didn't. The room was in rough shape too: heating pipes exposed, damp walls, dust under the bed, and a shutter that wouldn't close properly. The Schuko plug had been forced into a standard socket that was half ripped out of the wall. The bathroom had no air and a fan that didn't work. A disaster.
