The late arrival could have been a problem, since our dinner at a local restaurant took over an hour and road construction slowed us down, but Stefano waited for us and was so gracious. In the morning Celia made us a delicious breakfast. The room, bed, view, and breakfast were all fantastic. Follow the signs to find this hidden gem. A wonderful night and a highlight of our Sicily trip!

The garden inside the remote controlled gate is attractive, and from the roof terrace you can see the temples. Our room was okay and had a nice balcony view, but breakfast was only sweet. Getting there means going through a gritty part of town and some wasteland, which put us off, and the location isn’t suitable without a car. Check-in at 15:00 is enforced very strictly. They wouldn’t even open the outer gate so we could wait in the shade or have some water in the courtyard. Worst hospitality I’ve come across in decades of travel.

It was really relaxing to stay here. The place is outside town, quiet, and has a homely atmosphere. Our clean room had a lovely view of the garden and sea, and the owners were very kind.

This concerns a recent issue at the property, so anyone considering a stay should know. The whole complex appears to have a wood-eating insect infestation, both visible and audible. In several rooms there was constant scratching inside the door woodwork, loud enough to keep us awake and unsettling to hear. The owner and groundskeeper refuse to acknowledge it and ignore complaints. Staying at B&B Parco dei Templi is neither safe nor hygienic.
