We only stayed one night, and it was surprisingly hard to find a hotel that would take us for just one night. This one was very nice. The room, bed, and bathroom were all a good size and comfortable. Not luxurious exactly, but good and very nice. Convenient parking costs 20 EURO per day, which seemed reasonable and was helpful. The location is fine. I don’t think you need to stay any closer to the beach. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the air conditioning was good. Breakfast was only fine for a single day. If I stayed several days, I think I’d need to go out for breakfast. Alassio is a fun town, and the shops and restaurants stayed open very late. Finding somewhere to swim took some effort, though. Almost the whole beach is covered by ‘bagni’, which cost at least 50 EURO per adult per day. It’s very difficult to find a free place to swim, quite a change from southern France, where the beaches were all free. We had to try about 10 bagni before finding one with space that would let us swim for 60 minutes for 20 EURO total for two people. Maybe the hotel could help with that.

The breakfast team was so flexible: we arrived very late, but they still let us in and made eggs for everyone. The prices felt very fair for this part of Alassio, especially with the sea just a metre away. It’s still family-run, and Giovanni at reception is hard to forget, such a warm Italian welcome with a bit of style. We’ll be back!

In summer, that glorious beach is a real highlight. The hotel calls itself three-star, but the management and staff bring five-star enthusiasm, service, and helpfulness. A great choice in Liguria if you’re after a really enjoyable stay.

They welcomed us warmly, and the room was comfortable, with a balcony looking onto the garden. There’s parking, and both the sea and the town centre are very close.
