Hotel Garden

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel and would definitely come back. The staff were excellent, and receptionist Fady was especially helpful and friendly.

The beach and shops are only a short walk away. I was wary after reading earlier reviews, but the stay turned out better than I expected. The room was clean and nicely presented, the food was good, and the staff were great. I also liked hearing the frogs singing at night during my early May visit. Fresh towels every day were a welcome touch. I’d stay again.

I was here for six nights on a Shearings holiday, and the food was cold most of the time. We got potato wedges every single night, and breakfast bore little resemblance to the sample photo on the hotel website. The room also needs attention: the architrave was pulling away from the wall, the sink had no plug, and the toilet kept dripping. I raised the problems with Shearings, but they seemed unaware, even though customers have apparently complained about this hotel for years. Avoid it.

We only ended up here because it was part of a Shearings coach trip, and I found the food disgusting, with cheap tinned ingredients. We eventually ate in town, and I got food poisoning. I had an all-inclusive package but, since I don’t drink, they wouldn’t even give me a small can of Coke Zero. The wine was an unpleasant cheap €1 kind, and the other drinks came from Euro spin. It felt like profits mattered more than guests. The room phone didn’t work, either. In room 36, the toilet dripped all night. They knew three adults were coming, but made up the bunk bed instead of the third single bed. We arrived late, so one of us had to climb up. The ladder felt like a death trap and needed all of us to hold it steady. Reception was rude, except for Nichol, who was good. I’ve never stayed in such a horrible hotel.
