The reception staff weren't very helpful, and they didn't always greet us. They could have been friendlier. We were told at reception there was no free parking or free beach nearby, but we found both: a free parking lot 700 m from the hotel and a free beach. The hotel doesn't have its own private beach. Breakfast choice was very limited, just one kind of salami and cheese, with no vegetables, eggs, or anything like that. The ground-floor room was uncomfortable, dark, and old, and we could hear banging from the laundry all evening and through the night. There was mold in the bathroom, and the water pressure was extremely low. If other guests are showering in the evening, expect a slow drip instead of a proper flow. The prices were high for the quality.

We had a relatively comfortable long weekend by the sea in May, and I’m grateful to the team for that. This old hotel isn’t perfect, and it may not suit you if you want somewhere modern or everything to work perfectly. Still, if you’re okay with its imperfections, the comfort is pretty good. I’d give it top marks for the value and location, as well as its reasonable fitness/cleanness.

The whole experience was overpriced and the worst hotel experience. My car was damaged at the back after I left it in the hotel parking for two nights, and the manager offered no gesture. If you want to park here, avoid it. AVOID THEIR PARKING, if it can even be called that.

Alassio is a charming seaside resort town, well worth a visit. We stayed for 3 days and loved the hotel: the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was good and generous. Our room and bathroom were spacious, and it was nice to have WiFi and AC in the room. The hotel looks nice and sits right by the sea. Paying a little extra for a sea view was worth it.

It was impossible to sleep in the ground-floor rooms. Every time a door closes, it sounds like an earthquake and the bed shakes, as if the door were closing right over your head. A bad experience. Never again, I don't recommend it.
