My hotel, room number 18.

The apartment was shockingly dirty. There were food scraps on the floor, ants, and mold in the fridge, sink and shower. Dust, rust and dirty walls were everywhere. It had clearly not been cleaned before we arrived. We swept up hair, dust and sand from the bathroom and bedroom straight away, then tried to wipe the surfaces where we’d put our clothes. The sponge came away completely black with dirt. You can’t pay for an apartment in a three-star hotel and end up somewhere like this. The elevator was out of order and there was no POS terminal. The air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted because the on/off switch was behind a locked panel, so it was either running all the time or off. We had to turn it off because the place was unbearable. There was a fan in the room, but we didn’t use it because it had a makeshift mains connection and exposed wires. The shower door was broken and there was mold everywhere. A holiday nightmare.

The location is good, about 50 meters from the sea and near all the amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the apartment was dated in both its furniture and structure. The elevator didn’t work, there was no POS terminal, and above all it was very clean. We won’t return under these conditions.
