Palazzo Lengueglia feels more like a museum than a B&B, thanks in part to its charming, cultured host, Signora Josepha Costa. Her stories about Albenga and her family were so interesting that we could have listened for hours. She speaks excellent French and English. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, comfortable, spotless, and filled with beautiful original antiques. Breakfast was wonderful, and we loved Albenga. We’ll definitely return. Martin and Vickie

I stayed at Palazzo Lengueglia in September and October 2022. The place is full of history, with a beautiful interior that feels thoughtfully put together, and the rooms were clean. Host Josephina is kind, intelligent, and generous, and she speaks several languages. Breakfast was filling, and they always ask what you’d like and what time suits you. There’s also a table with tea, water, and coffee available in the wonderful living room. I highly recommend staying here in Albenga.

In the heart of Albenga’s old town, this family-run noble palace is a wonderfully distinctive place to stay. The rooms have been carefully renovated, and they’re spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Breakfast feels like being in a museum, with every detail thoughtfully arranged, while the rooms give you the feeling of sleeping in another era. Mrs. Costa is warm and helpful, and knows an endless amount about the ancient city. This is a truly unforgettable B&B, unique in Liguria. Nothing else compares.

If you enjoy spacious rooms, lovely furniture, and a home with character, this is a great place to stay. We were welcomed by a knowledgeable, passionate host in her family home in Albenga’s historic center. Our room was large and tastefully decorated, with windows looking straight onto Piazza San Michele. We even got to watch a concert from what felt like the front row.

The family running the B&B are courteous and know so much about Albenga’s history and beauty. The welcome was warm and personal, and the rooms are excellent, including the one inside a city defense tower. Definitely worth seeing, especially for couples.
