Casa di Barbano

The location was great, very close to the train station and historic center. The service was good too, and the kind hostess helped us whenever we needed something and did the best she could. The property is very old and not well maintained. Our room was on the fourth floor with no elevator, which wasn’t our style. The photos may be old, as some things didn’t quite match.

We were warmly welcomed and got some recommendations for places to have dinner. The room was spacious enough for three, with a very comfortable mattress and pillows and fresh towels. Breakfast was simple but had what we needed. We stayed for three nights at this lovely place. Thank you!

Moraq was lovely and shared helpful ideas for places to see in Florence and nearby. Lucca usually takes care of breakfast, and he’s friendly and happy to help guests. The place has just 7 rooms and serves an Italian-style breakfast with juice, cappuccino, cornetto, bread, cookies, yogurt, cereal, and fruit. It’s an easy walk from the train station and to lots of places around the city.

The staff made the stay for me. Any small issue we had was sorted out within about five minutes, which is why I’d give this place five stars. The rooms are fine and what you’d expect at a 3-star hotel, and breakfast comes with tasty croissants and cappuccino. It’s handy for walking to Firenze’s main sights and is also near the main station. I’d recommend it if you’re visiting the city and need somewhere to stay. :)
