Hotel Mia Cara

The top floor room was small, but very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were nice and there 24/7, and breakfast was included. There's laundry on site, though we paid extra to use a local laundrette instead to save time. It was a two minute walk, with same day drop off and pickup. The main train station and group tour meeting point are nearby, and there are good restaurants within walking distance. We loved harbor crew on the same street, just seconds away, with terrific service and pasta. There's an indoor market around the corner too. The flea market sellers were pushy and their stuff was crap quality, so I'd avoid them and shop inside or at nearby local shops. I loved Florence's beauty, and found the street sellers less annoying than in Rome. The hop on/off bus is worth trying for a day.

The hotel was surprisingly quiet for its location, and the breakfasts were great. It was only a 10 minute walk to Florence's main attractions. Had a great stay, 5/5.

The room was a little small by US standards, but it really wasn't an issue. We were comfortable whenever we were in, and the beds were very comfortable too. My wife and I stayed a week at Hotel Mia Cara, a beautifully maintained gem within walking distance of the local sites we wanted to see and the pickup point for organized tours and wine tasting trips. The room and whole building were extremely clean. It was the first time I'd enjoyed full service housekeeping since COVID. The staff were friendly and helpful, always quick to greet us with a smile. They also arranged an early morning taxi, one less thing for me to worry about. We enjoyed the free breakfast each morning, with cereal, fruit, cold cuts, cheese, pastries, eggs, and sausage. I made many trips to the automatic espresso machine. If we get back to Florence, we'll stay here again.

Good value for money in Florence. The hotel is right by the train station and easy to reach, with lots of restaurants and supermarkets close by. There's free breakfast with a wide choice of food and drinks. You can walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and some wine windows.
