The lady at the B&B was right, she's very kind, helpful and knows her job. The tower is right in Albenga's historic "Budelo", a great base for exploring the town. Sleeping in an 1100-meter tower makes the stay worthwhile on its own. We stayed in the garden room, which wasn't very spacious, but then you didn't need much room in the Middle Ages. It has what you need, including a bathroom with a bidet and shower, though at 6'1" and 215 pounds I barely fit. You can hear the bells, sometimes every half hour. I struggled to sleep the first night, but the second night I only heard the 5:00 and 6:00 tolls, and managed to sleep both before and after them. Breakfast means heading down the street to the bars. It's worth trying for at least a weekend. I know the area already, and the beach is a long drive, but as a base it's unbeatable. I highly recommend it. In August, the price was €90 per night.

I was in Albenga for work and spent two nights at this B&B. The place itself is lovely, and signora Germana was so kind, friendly, and helpful throughout. Five stars are absolutely deserved. I’d happily recommend staying here.

Our room, “Vescovo,” was clean and lovely, with simple furnishings that suited the building, a very comfortable bed, and a window looking onto the atmospheric inner courtyard. The rooms are independent, so we didn’t hear anyone else. The owner was incredibly kind and accommodating, even carrying our bags on his back. He let us check in early so we could head to the beach without our luggage. The B&B is in Albenga’s historic center, about a 20-minute walk from the seafront. Parking is free around there, but a bit of a walk from the property, and it’s the only practical option in the ZTL. The entrance has a beautiful staircase leading up to the reception. A small tip: keep the windows closed if you don’t want the church bells waking you every hour. Once shut, everything was fine. I’d definitely recommend it for the cleanliness and the owner’s kindness and helpfulness.

Pietro, the owner, greeted us warmly and was very helpful. The B&B is in a charming 12th- or 13th-century building in Albenga’s historic center. Our room was neat and clean, with a kitchenette and an impeccable bathroom. Breakfast was generous and excellent, served in a really welcoming atmosphere. We had a very positive stay and I’ll definitely return.
