The Matzellner family and their staff made us feel welcome right away, and the apartment felt like home. It’s brand new, with a thoughtful guidebook the hosts wrote about things to do nearby. The breakfast basket was great, and the milk was so good we could’ve drunk gallons. Just remember this is a farm: cows, quiet countryside, and not much in the way of shops or restaurants, plus the Wi-Fi isn’t powerful. Most things we wanted to do were about a 20-minute drive away. It’s a lovely choice with toddlers and kids, and we’ve fallen in love with the place. We’ll be back!

Breakfast at the mountain hut was a fantastic touch. Martina, Albert, and the whole family run it too, and made the meal feel special. The apartment was new, thoughtfully furnished, and had everything we needed. The farm is peaceful, well cared for, and full of animals. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return.

At over 1,000 meters up, you get the upsides and downsides of being out in the countryside. This won’t suit city people looking for wellness, and you’ll need to bring little things like dish soap. But there’s plenty to like: a lovely, peaceful apartment, parking right outside, and cowbells softly clanging at night. Fresh milk is provided every day, and you can get rolls 800 meters away or use the breakfast service. Everything was flawless, with much more to praise than complain about.
