The location is great, right by the sea and close to the start of a stretch of restaurants and bars. You can walk to the old town in 20-40 minutes, depending on your pace. Staff were friendly. We arrived late, so they kept our passports until we paid in the morning, which worked fine for us. The apartments are basic, but the beds, including the sofa beds, were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. We had two apartments and they were serviced and cleaned once during our week. Changing towels before that cost €3 per towel. The kitchen had enough for simple meals, but wasn't fully kitted out. There are no kettles or irons by default. The pool is clean, small, and fairly busy, even though we were there in June. Check-out is early, at 10am, which felt a little awkward, though they let us use a shower and a waiting room to store luggage. Guests are expected to clean up after themselves, which is fair, but there isn't much provided for it. No dish soap or sponge, just one tea towel, and you have to empty the bins yourself.

The furniture is simple, but the hotel was comfortable. The main problem was the shower: the boiler ran out of hot water after 5 minutes, so with three of us only one person could have a proper shower. We used the shower room by the pool instead. It had an amazing shower and plenty of hot water, but having to use a shared bathroom was inconvenient. One important thing if you arrive at night: the night security guard can give you the key but can't check you in. He asked for our passports and kept them overnight, which made me extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully, we could check in and get them back at 9am when reception opened.

We loved the residence and its location, and would come back. The pool was nice but chilly, with sunbeds available. Towels can be hired or you can bring your own. There are stairs and lifts to the upper floors. No breakfast is offered, but a supermarket is just 100m away. Its handy pedestrian entrance is beside the back driveway.

The apartments were excellent and in a great location. Everything else was perfect too. My one suggestion for families with small children would be to have cleaning every 2 days instead of every 3. Highly recommended!

The beach is very close, so we didn't need the car for that, and other beaches like Spiaggia di Maria Pia and Le Bombarde were 5-15 minutes away by car. The hotel itself was very clean, with staff cleaning almost daily, and the rooms were great. Staff were friendly too. The pool was nice, though a bit small and more suited to children than adults. It's a 25-30 minute walk from the city, which wasn't very comfortable with children. Parking in Alghero is a bit of a problem. Still, we had a good stay and recommend the hotel.
