The owners and their children were fantastic, and Mimma made wonderful breakfasts with local sweet and savory products that changed every day. Her husband, Mimmo, knows an incredible amount about the area and suggested breathtaking places we couldn’t find in guidebooks. The beautifully renovated farmhouse sits amid the Murgia’s natural beauty and quiet. Its magical rooms include one in the former sacristy of the adjacent deconsecrated chapel and another in the old watchtower, both decorated with 15th-century frescoes. And a special mention for Wolf, the adorable guardian of the place, who greeted us wagging his tail on evenings when we paused among the olive trees to admire the starry sky.

The owners are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home and help with special requests or whatever else you need. The attention to detail, from the garden through to the rooms, was better than I’ve seen in most places. Breakfast was excellent, with products from a very good bakery. It feels like five-star service and hospitality in a real Apulian farmhouse. I hope to return soon!

We woke to the quiet of nature, and breakfast was excellent. On arrival, the owner showed us the photography museum that tells the story of his family. This beautiful farmhouse is tucked into the countryside, and our room felt like stepping into another era without giving up any comforts. Recommended if you’re looking to relax. We’ll definitely return.

The farmhouse makes a handy base for seeing the Murgia, Matera, Alberobello, and nearby places. It also has a small family museum that’s worth a look. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature, and the owners are warm and helpful. A B&B I’d happily recommend.
