It was easy to find and handy for the road to Matera. The room, though, was cold and cramped, with no blankets and air conditioning that didn't work. Such a shame with a location this convenient.

The room had plenty of space, but not much comfort: it was noisy, there were no sockets by the bed or bedside tables, and the lamps wouldn't turn on. We also found the price poor value. Even though we had called about an hour before arriving, the room still hadn't been cleaned when we got there. We were unprofessionally told to come back in an hour or two.

Breakfast wasn't provided, and the coffee machine on the second floor had no pods for us. We ended up spending more than we should have on breakfast at bars and cafes. For the price, even a couple of toasted biscuits with jam would have been a reasonable service. The mattress was also extremely old, despite the room looking nice and comfortable. A comfortable bed should be a basic part of a B&B or guesthouse stay. The price doesn't match what was provided. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism and the place gets reorganized a bit.

The place has parking, and the center of Altamura is about a 600-meter walk up a slight hill. It's a room with a bathroom and living room, plus a locked kitchen. Breakfast means using the coffee machine outside the room, which only makes espresso or macchiato. I gave a low rating because of how the booking went. I wanted an extra-large bed for three since our five-year-old isn't used to sleeping alone. They first said it wasn't available because the room was for two adults, even though Booking.com showed it free for two days. In the end they let me take it so they wouldn't lose €60. We also forgot one of my son's stuffed animals, and they didn't even bother to let me know. Fine.
