The rooms felt spacious, and we slept well in comfortable beds. It was quiet and dark at night, and our room had a lovely view. Parking was easy, and the nearby museum is worth seeing for its fine early paintings by Daddi and Simone Martini. The Palazzo is beautifully furnished, and the owner, who hosts the B&B, is charming and knows the history of his home. It's a beautiful place right beside the cathedral, with a view out over the countryside.

What really made the stay for us was the owner. He was so kind and helpful, noticed the little details, and was especially attentive and playful with the children, which we hadn't expected. The building is stunning, and the rooms and history make it even more impressive. Highly recommended!

Mr. Mario and his family gave us such a warm welcome that we felt at home. The building has so much charm, and the rooms were clean and well cared for. It's right in the center, just a few steps from Altomonte's main attractions. I hope I can come back soon. Highly recommended. :)

Altomonte is a little gem, full of history and culture, and easy to fall in love with. Staying in Palazzo Pancaro, such a prestigious historic residence, is always fabulous. It's a pleasure to return and see Mario, the very kind owner.

From the front door, you can step straight into a restaurant/pizzeria or a gelato shop with excellent artisanal gelato, handy if you don't want to walk. The apartment is very clean and sits in a historic building overlooking the square and the Altomonte viewpoint. The owner is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Calabria.
