Ca' Nadia

I can't recommend this place. They never replied to any of my messages when I arrived in Venice, and I ended up having to find somewhere else that same day. This came after they had agreed to restore my reservation when I asked them to, because my plans had changed and I was rearranging them to make the stay. I had first tried to cancel three months ahead, but they refused any refund, and they hadn't told me they would keep the full amount if I cancelled. The way they handled it felt fraudulent and untrustworthy.

The place was really quiet and cozy, and the room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable. Our host let us check in early without charging extra. The owners clearly care about the property and their guests. There were mosquito nets on the windows, so we could open them without worrying about insects. The receptionist was very kind and explained Venice's transport system. She spoke Italian while we spoke English, but we understood each other perfectly. Everything was absolutely great.

We only stayed one night, but the owner was lovely and helped us figure out the bus into Venice. Check-in went smoothly, and they also suggested some great restaurants to visit. Thanks for the hospitality!

The beds are comfortable, but there's a strict no-food rule in the rooms. Staff also start cleaning noisily before 8am. Check-in has to be before 7pm, and delays bring an hourly charge. After a long trip, I’d book somewhere else.
