We’re stranded in venice without a hotel because we couldn’t get in. Don’t book through agoda. They can’t reach the property, there’s no phone number or reception, and no email with the key safe code. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID.

It’s definitely no luxury place, but it has some nice old details in the corridors and room. It’s also obviously old and very simple. I was lucky to get a third-floor room with a good view. The old town centre is right there, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby and the vaporetto Station a five-minute walk away. The staircase area needs more light. There’s no AC, so keeping the windows open means dealing with mosquitoes, though the hotel provides a device for them, and outside noise. You can hear sounds from other rooms and outside, which may bother sensitive sleepers. There’s no elevator if that matters to you.

The Wi-Fi only reaches the lobby, so you’ll need your own data if you want internet in the room. The owners weren’t overly friendly, but they were polite and helpful when needed. The place was spotless, with fresh towels and soap, and the bed made each day. It’s right by major attractions, with good food options just outside, and the price felt unbeatable. After seeing mixed Google reviews I was unsure, but I’m glad I took the chance. Don’t hesitate to book.

We just wanted a place to sleep and wash while we explored Venice, and this was perfect for that. It was warm and comfy, not too expensive, and we could come and go without feeling like we were bothering the owners. Loved it.
