Locanda Art Deco'

I tend to stay wherever Rick Steven’s recommends, and his suggestion in Bellagio was one I loved. This spot has that same appeal for me. It's central but peaceful, away from the crowds of day trippers, and having my own key to the main entrance made me feel like a local. Breakfast was limited, but enough to tide me over until lunch. There was also a water dispenser downstairs for everyone to use.

San Marco is right outside, so the location was hard to beat. We chose the breakfast option and thought it was well worth it, with plenty to choose from. The staff were kind and let us leave a couple of bags after checkout so we could enjoy one last walk around the city. Our attic room cost a little less because of its sloped ceilings, and it was clean and air conditioned, which was a blessing during the heat wave. The whole building is furnished in a thoughtful, consistent style. At this price, I don't think they could have done more. We had a lovely stay at Locanda Art Deco.

The room was comfortable, clean, and in an excellent location. Staff weren't around during our stay, though they did reply late through booking.

We followed the recommendation in Rick Steves' travel book, and it lived up to it. The location was very good, and breakfast was good too. Having a plaza with several restaurants right outside made it easy to grab a drink or something to eat. There was also a wine shop nearby, which was a nice extra. The rooms were clean.
