The rooms smelled musty and were noisy, with sounds from cars and the hallway. The internet was down for more than a day. They said it was the provider's fault, but choosing a cheap, unreliable provider to save money was their decision. At breakfast, we had to wait for both the milk and orange juice to be refilled. Bad vibes, and I wouldn't recommend it.

It was clean, but old and pretty average overall. Reception wasn't staffed all the time, although they did give clear instructions for finding the room when it was closed. The place needs a refresh and some redecorating. At €80 a night, I thought it was overpriced for somewhere this old. The three stars are because of the price.

The place felt shabby and rather grubby, and our room reeked of cigarette smoke so badly that it clung to our clothes. The food was uneven: my meat was OK, but my wife's fish was revolting, and the coffee was undrinkable. One waitress was working hard and did a good job serving all those tables. Avoid if you can.

I've stayed in plenty of hotels in Italy for work, and for the price, this one is a good choice. The staff have been more than helpful, and dinner tonight was excellent. Some English reviews here make me wonder: I've paid twice as much for a room in Italy without breakfast.
