Relais Colle Buono

The driver was a huge help, dropping us at all our scheduled tours and wine tasting experience. We booked through Italy Luxury travel agency, which may be why the driver was available. The hotel also upgraded our room to the executive suite, a large space with a huge living room, small kitchen, and lovely corner balcony overlooking the pool and whole valley. The massages were great too. The estate has gorgeous views across a large vineyard and valley, with mountains in the distance. It’s rustic and peaceful, with a lovely pool, gym, spa, and excellent service. The restaurant was great as well. If you want to visit Sora or another town, or eat somewhere else, I’d recommend having a car because of the rural location. It felt like a little slice of paradise, with Tuscany’s feel and none of the crowds. I’d love to return. If you’re after a quiet, rustic rural stay, this is the spot.

You can spend your time at Relais Colle Buono enjoying the spa and, in summer, the infinity pool, or head out to the many nearby villages, wineries, and cheesemakers. The setting is the idyllic Comino Valley, between sea and mountains, and it’s a lovely place for relaxing and good vibes. You can also eat at the restaurant. The restaurant was a real highlight for me. The food tasted fresh and local, with so much care behind every dish. I also loved waking up to the quiet hills, and the private sauna, for a small extra charge, was a lovely way to unwind. Relais Colle Buono feels tucked away from the tourist crowds, in a part of Italy that still seems authentic. From arrival, I felt genuinely welcomed and at home, with personal, attentive service. It was a peaceful chance to slow down and enjoy the landscape and culture. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, and I hope to return.

The spa was a real treat, with a steam room, sauna, hot tub, thermal shower, water bed beneath a Himalayan salt rock wall, and places to sit and relax. At €50 per person, we felt it was well worth it. We also enjoyed the restaurant’s gourmet food and service. The tasting menu was a great-value way to try everything. Relais Colle Buono sits in lovely Italian countryside with incredible views. The owners were friendly, and their pride in keeping the property pristine was clear. We felt very welcome and safe as foreign guests. Everything was high quality, and we can’t wait to come back.
