Borgo Santandrea

The shuttle rides by car or boat were much appreciated, and breakfast on the terrace of the Michelin star restaurant with The Breakfast Ambassador was picturesque. The views and decor delighted me from every angle, and the dining experience felt elevated. Staff took care of every whim with warmth and personal attention. I never heard the word “no.” At the Borgo, every detail and staff interaction felt carefully considered, yet the atmosphere was warm and welcoming rather than pretentious. That balance makes it my favourite place I've ever visited. We were greeted like family, shown around at check-in, and surprised with a room upgrade for our anniversary. Calling this a hotel with only five stars hardly does it justice. Staying at Borgo Santandrea was life changing, and I'm already dreaming about returning. I can't recommend it highly enough.

The terraces looked over crystal clear water like a painting, and waking up to that view was such a treat. My three days here felt like heaven. The beautiful setting is just the start. Staff welcomed us warmly and stayed attentive and gracious without being intrusive, creating a luxurious but genuinely warm atmosphere. The spacious rooms were beautifully decorated with handmade ceramic tiles, a local artisan specialty that gave the hotel a distinctive touch. It had a sophistication unlike any other 5-star hotel I've visited. There are three restaurants: Alici, awarded a Michelin star, serves innovative food; Marinella offers traditional dishes; and the beach club has fish, pizza, and salads. Breakfast had a lavish spread, and Nicola, the breakfast ambassador, took care of every need. A truly memorable stay.

We left our four-night honeymoon feeling it had been worth every penny, even though this was definitely a splurge for us as a young couple. We were genuinely sad to go and plan to return. The Borgo team made us feel at home, especially Fernando at breakfast and Maurizio, the owner, whose local tips and thoughtful touches made the stay unforgettable. Everything from the rooms and shared spaces to the beach club, food, and service felt perfect. Somehow the hotel pairs real luxury with an easy, welcoming atmosphere. It's the most incredible place we've stayed, and five stars don't feel like enough.

My dad and I had lunch by the gorgeous beach, and both the food and cocktails were exceptional. The staff were so welcoming, kind, and attentive. Afterwards we spent time at the beach club enjoying the sea views. Italo looked after us so well and even brought lemon sorbet to help us cool off in the sun. The service here is phenomenal, and I'd highly recommend a visit.
