The view is breathtaking, and our host was easy to reach and very accommodating. The place itself felt charming and comfortable. The beds are firm, but honestly, we rarely find beds to our liking wherever we go, so I just accept that. Getting around without a car seems difficult, though driving here isn't easy either. We spotted the coastal stairs leading to other towns after someone pointed them out, but we never tried climbing them.

There’s a spectacular view over the water, and the place is spacious and nicely equipped. You really want a car for this location. Finding the home can be tricky, and parking is very difficult, so try searching Casa Barbara on Google and using that as your destination. The showers could be better, some areas are worn, and the furniture is dated but quaint. A great stay, just not a perfect one.

We ended up booking another hotel in Amalfi Center and had to pay over 70 euros for transport along the way. When we asked for help with our luggage, she wanted 50 euros. There was no taxi available, so we didn't feel we had a choice. The property was much farther from the center and beach than we expected, and the description listed TOVERE, which didn't match reality. It wasn't in Amalfi, but in a different city high up on the mountain. We couldn't work out the nearest transport; the host only said it went down, without explaining how to get around. I asked for a full refund since we never used or slept in the room, but she refused. When I explained the listing was different, she talked about it being Sunday as if we couldn't understand. This property deserves a bad rating.

It was so peaceful and quiet at Casa Barbara, with a lovely view. Barbara is incredibly kind and does all she can to make your stay enjoyable.

Barbara made us feel welcome right away. She's super nice, friendly, and chatty, and we felt very well looked after. The place is a bit far out, but the views are stunning. We had an amazing experience and I'd definitely return.
