DieciSedici

We ended up canceling and booking another hotel because construction outside was very noisy, and nobody had warned us. We never got our money back for the reservation, so I think they are scammers. The place also wasn’t as attractive as the photos suggested. We booked through Booking.com, hoping to spend the last four days of our month in Italy there, but it didn’t feel like a hotel. The reception is on the first floor of a neighboring building, while the room is at the top of another building, up a long, gloomy, dirty, smelly staircase shared with local residents. They say breakfast is included, but instead give you a discount coupon for a cafe on a noisy central square. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you want your holiday ruined.

The front desk arranged our airport rides, and everything went smoothly. We were a family of four and fit comfortably in the family room. With young kids, the location worked really well: the beach, bus and ferry, and restaurants were all easy to reach on foot. There are a few stairs, but they weren’t a problem for us. We’d stay with DieciSedici again.

Our room was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was included at the bistro, which was convenient and tasty, with great service too. We were very happy with our stay and would choose this place again if we come back.

The location is excellent, close to attractions and amenities, and the room was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, with good suggestions for restaurants and breakfast spots. Still, the price felt high for what you get. There’s no breakfast at the hotel, just a 30% discount at a nearby restaurant or bar, and the lack of basic hotel services and facilities was disappointing. The hotel calls itself three-star, but it felt more like a group of Airbnb rooms than a typical three-star place in Italy. Access is up an outdoor staircase in a building where local residents also live, and there’s no accessible entrance for people with disabilities. The reception is just a room, which doesn’t feel very professional. I also didn’t see smoke detectors in the rooms, which concerned me. If you mainly want a central place to sleep and don’t expect much in the way of hotel amenities, it could work, but for this price there may be better options.
