Hotel Centrale Amalfi

The hotel was clean and pleasant, and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was a decent selection of fruit and pastries to get the day started. If you’re an easygoing traveler who just needs a place to sleep, shower, and have breakfast on a budget, it’s a good fit. The location is convenient but noisy, right in town. We had to sleep with the windows and balcony door open because there was no air conditioning. On the weekend it stayed loud until quite late. Dogs barking at random and the cathedral bells in the early morning could wake you up too, so sleeping in comfortably isn’t likely. We also woke each day to noise from the breakfast area on our floor. The WiFi was terribly slow and hard to connect to.

The location was good and the breakfast room had perfect views, but I wasn’t keen on most of the staff. The man who checked us in was really nice, though. Breakfast itself was very simple. It’s not a bad hotel, but our bathroom smelled, some lights didn’t work, and every hour or so there was a random humming noise.

The staff are what made this hotel such a great stop for us while touring Italy. The man at reception made us delicious cappuccinos at breakfast, and the views while we ate were breathtaking. We originally picked it for the price and location, but it became our favorite hotel on the trip. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Amalfi.

The location, room, and service were all amazing. Rita at reception was kind, helpful, and genuine. I’m definitely coming back next time.
