The climb is worth knowing about: most of the walk up from the town square is on steep stairs. It could be tough for older guests, anyone with mobility concerns, or people who'd rather not pay for a porter to carry their luggage. The stay at Il Porticciolo was otherwise lovely. We could see the stunning ocean blues from our room and rooftop balcony, just as advertised. From the water during our day at Mandingo Beach, we even spotted Il Porticciolo, which was a fun surprise. It's only a 5-6 minute walk to the town square. Mena made check-in seamless with great communication, and Silvia was so welcoming at breakfast. She made wonderful scrambled eggs, and the croissants with powdered sugar were hard to resist. A charming B&B with beautiful views, a convenient location, outstanding service, and genuine Italian hospitality.

The people and location were wonderful, but the beds and decor were terrible. It's puzzling: if the hotel is making decent money, why not invest a bit more in nicer rooms and beds?

The room was clean and cozy, with aircon for the hot summer and breathtaking views. It's quite close to the town centre, about a 5 min walk, but still feels intimate and private, away from the busy streets packed with tourists. Breakfast was excellent, and we really appreciated that Mena offered us local local products. 100% recommended!

The room was nicer than I expected and had good air conditioning. Both hosts were helpful. From the roof terrace, the view is stunning, and you’re only a few minutes from the square, beach, and restaurants. The steps are a workout, though. Breakfast wasn’t really to our taste, but it was a decent start to the day. I’d recommend staying here.

Breakfast felt special, with hand-painted tableware and such affectionate service from Signora Ana, the lady serving at the tables. We also loved the location and the amazing view.
