We first stopped at the restaurant to ask for help choosing a hike nearby, and the owner kindly helped us pick a trail. When we came back, we stopped in for coffee. Lunch wasn't ready yet, but the food looked excellent. It seemed like home cooking, and the service was courteous. We'll definitely return to eat there.

The restaurant and hotel are conveniently right by the trailhead, so you can head out for a mountain walk after eating. We had so much antipasti we were nearly dull by the end, then followed it with fried polenta and pasta and were completely stuffed. Excellent value for the money.

After the two-hour N4 hiking circuit, we had a fantastic Easter weekend lunch. The vegetable soup was delicious, as ever. Bravo!
