My experience was poor, from the lack of public contact to the rude WhatsApp messages I got when I contacted the property to book a room. I thought perhaps they were rushing because it was summer and they might be full. When we arrived at the B&B, the shower was level with the floor, without a proper raised edge to keep the water from flooding the bathroom. There were no towels, though that was eventually sorted out in a confusing way: “We didn’t provide towels. Do you need them?” If I wanted to bring towels, hand towels, and everything else from home, I could just sleep in the car and shower in the rain, right? There were three of us, and the room had two single beds and one double bed. The two girls had to share the double because we were told, “There are four beds in the room. If you can, don’t use one so we don’t have to remake it.” Breakfast was only adequately provided in some rooms, so we had to use a room that wasn’t ours, the kitchen, and took just the bare minimum to eat. Then we were told, “You’ve consumed these things.” No one had even bothered to tell us the breakfast time or anything about it. The prices were excessive for how we were treated and completely unjustified. They should improve the kindness and friendliness first, or change management, which would be better. If we ever return to this beautiful city, we definitely won’t stay there again. Never again.

I’m giving it a 1 because there’s no option for 0. Ratings are subjective, but I had a really bad experience: ten days without towels, and the room was cleaned once in those ten days, even though I paid €30 extra. The host was unfair, charging me a much higher bill when I hadn’t even used breakfast. The host was practically invisible, and I hardly saw them during my ten days. My personal rating is 0.

Il Profumo delle Zagare is a very high-quality B&B. Erminia is a wonderful hostess, courteous and kind, and serves a generous breakfast with fresh croissants and plenty more.

The owners were thoughtful and full of useful tips, which made it easy to settle in and enjoy a relaxing break. The room was clean, and the property sits in a lovely spot in the historic center. With more attention to the area, it could become one of Italy's most beautiful.

A clean, pleasant B&B. Getting to the beach takes around 20 minutes or more, which makes the location a bit inconvenient.
