Breakfast was served outside in the garden, with a beautiful view of the distant Alps. You could choose sweet or savory food and help yourself. There’s also a lovely little seafood pasta restaurant just around the corner, and a short bike ride gets you to a beach club where sunbeds and an umbrella cost €25 for the day. The food there was good too. The villa and its large garden were gorgeous. Serena was a warm host and showed us how to use the air conditioning and which keys opened what, even though communication was a little tricky because we don’t speak Italian. Our room was on the small side, but had everything we needed, and the shower was nice. A wonderful place to relax.

Ferrara is only 150yds down the road, so you can get a very good meal without taking the car. There are several other good restaurants nearby too. The house sits up a steep incline or can be reached by steps, with parking just outside the gate. A lovely garden wraps around it, with plenty of little spots to sit. The accommodation was very clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was good.

The service was fantastic, and the location was great, tucked back from the road but still close to the harbor. The rooms were small, but comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast cost 7 euros per person and felt well worth it, with croissants, Nutella, eggs, and everything else we wanted. A great hotel, 10/10.
