Agriturismo Tara

Francesca and David make you feel at home and welcome from the moment you arrive. They share suggestions for places to visit and restaurants, and in the evening you can sit with them on the terrace and talk about your day. We’ve stayed in a few places on our travels through Umbria and Tuscany, but Tara was the best. A+, and thank you so much! The large estate and panoramic pool are beautiful, clean, and well maintained, with wooden chairs and cushions and umbrellas. The website photos hardly prepare you for it, if anything, they promise too little. Breakfast had everything we could want: fresh cakes baked daily, toast, jams, juice, water, coffee made however you like it, cereals, and fresh fruit from the garden. The food was delicious, and we still miss Francesca's chocolate cake. Cakes, fruit, juice, and water were available during the day too. You can also try the homemade wine and olive oil, both of which I recommend. I don’t think you’ll want to use or taste another oil afterward. The rooms are spotless and well kept, with comfortable beds, air conditioning, a small fridge, a tea maker, and a nice bathroom. They’re cleaned every day and some towels are replaced. That kind of service might make you think of a luxury hotel, but here it came with a much more heartfelt welcome. Thanks again, Mille Grazie Francesca and David!

A lovely house with lovely hosts, in a beautiful part of Umbria.

The views are amazing, and the pool is really nice. We’d definitely recommend ordering the tagliere for lunch if you stay here, it’s so good! The breakfast was a real highlight, excellent, varied, and thoughtfully prepared. If you’re passing through Amelia, Agriturismo Tara is a perfect place to stop. We stayed for just one night, but the peaceful setting and Francesca’s warm welcome exceeded what we expected. She was attentive, cheerful, and made us feel looked after from the first moment. We’ll definitely be back!
