Agriturismo Sant' Isidoro

The food is excellent and generous, and the service is courteous. Prices are a little high, though the welcoming setting and good meal made the extra few euros feel worthwhile. We’d visited this restaurant many years ago, and were surprised to see how much it had been renovated. The outdoor dining area is splendid, though it closes in winter, and the grounds are well kept and welcoming. After dinner, the pool area with loungers, armchairs and a gazebo is a lovely place to chat in the natural surroundings.

The house wine was good and the service excellent, thanks to Gabriele. The first courses were a highlight, with homemade pasta made in the best Ciociaria tradition. The grilled cod was a real surprise, cooked beautifully. Excellent value!

The setting and location are lovely, but the outside is much better than the inside. The rooms are bare and dated, and the half-sagging mattress, barely working toilet flush and broken bedside lamp all need attention. There wasn't even a glass for toothbrushes. I don't expect four-star hotel rooms in a farmhouse, just decent ones. The pool area could be much nicer too, with not a single lounger or umbrella. Breakfast was meager, with just a few things put out on a table. The cappuccino was terrible, and coffee came in plastic cups. Service felt superficial. Prices aren't especially cheap for such poor quality. It's a shame, because the place has great potential but is badly managed.

The location makes it easy to reach Anagni, Fiuggi, Fumone and Lake Canterno, and prices are affordable. We got a very friendly welcome. There’s a spacious garden and pool, and the rooms are standard for a farmhouse. Breakfast was average, while dinner was very good. The parking is spacious, but it’s outside the property and unattended.
