The location is the one good thing here. Check-in was automated and would have worked fine if the room key had been in the box. It wasn't, apparently because someone hadn't returned it. I spent 30 minutes outside messaging the owner on Whatsapp while they tried to sort it out, and nearly missed the last train to Riomaggiore. That train was the whole reason for my one-night stay in La Spezia. Luckily, another room was available on the same floor. I left my bags there and rushed to the station without really looking around. When I got back around 10 pm, I found hairs all over the bed sheets, the spare pillows in the cupboard, and the bathroom floor. The sheets clearly hadn't been changed, and the room hadn't been cleaned properly. I was exhausted and had to leave early the next day, so I reluctantly slept in the bed.

We especially liked how close it was to the city and the train station. We had a delightful stay and will definitely come back!

The room was clean and quiet, and we slept well. It's conveniently located near both the center and the harbor.

The room itself was nice and functional, especially the bathroom, but it was extremely dirty. There was debris right at the building entrance, and dust everywhere in the room, even on the bedside lamp. We also found the door broken and wide open when we returned in the evening, and the surrounding area already felt disturbing, so the security of the location is questionable. Phone support from the manager was rude and arrogant. The price doesn't make sense for this kind of property. A very negative experience.

The room was dusty throughout, and the conditions were awful. The third bed was an unsuitable camp bed with a very thin mattress and no hygienic pillow protector. Duvets and towels were stained, and the sheets looked used. There was mold in the shower, and for three people we were initially given only half a roll of toilet paper. When it ran out, we told the host but waited a long time and had to contact them repeatedly before calling again, as they were unavailable. Access was a problem from the start, with buckets and debris in the entrance. Terrible service, unacceptable hygiene, and an experience to forget. Highly not recommended.
