I slept really well in my compact room, which had everything I needed. Breakfast was generous, with continental options plus several cakes and tarts. The hotel has put a lot of work into turning the building, which looks like a 1960s horror from outside, into a lovely boutique place. The rooms and breakfast room are on the first floor, and there’s a lift. It’s slow, but runs silently, so it doesn’t disturb anyone. Finding it took me a while, especially because Google kept directing me down a one-way street. I also needed to mail a package before continuing my trip, but the Italian post office wouldn’t cooperate. The hotel kindly took the package and postage money, and I immediately felt less stressed.
