We had an amazing family villa, with everything we needed for a relaxed holiday. There are lovely places to explore just a short drive away.

The house photos were accurate, but the outside was in a deplorable state, and the pool couldn't be used. Our rental website response was a flat refusal, and it even deleted the review. To be clear, we weren't banned from the site, but that's beside the point. It doesn't accept criticism, and neither does the site, which only keeps positive reviews. I'm sharing what happened because a week's holiday matters, especially at that price. If a pool is included in the rental, I expect it to be available. I wanted this problem dealt with well before our stay, not during it. That's the truth, though you couldn't have known since you weren't there. If you're not willing to admit the place wasn't in good condition, fine, but I don't see why I shouldn't warn future renters. Enough!
