B & B Resort La Magnolia

Breakfast was passable, but nothing special, and there was no parking. More concerning, every room uses the same key, so your belongings don't feel secure. The ceiling was so low I couldn't stand up in the room. I wouldn't recommend it.

After a long trip, we were hoping to unwind here, but the stay quickly became frustrating. We were three adults and an infant, yet received only two towels, and luckily had brought our own. Our bathroom wasn't cleaned and the toilet paper wasn't replenished. The dining area was locked, even though the rules said we couldn't eat in our rooms. With a one-year-old who eats often, I wasn't going to leave my baby hungry. The B&B looked nice, but host Martina came across as fake and unpleasant. I don't think she has children, judging by how she treated us. There was a lovely group staying there who were allowed to use the facilities until 2pm. We were told to leave at 10, the checkout time. When I asked Martina for the same arrangement and explained I didn't want to expose the baby to more sun, she refused. She said a banquet was planned and guests would arrive at 11am sharp. So my mom, husband and I sat with the baby in the shade outside. Massimo came out, asked why we were there, and showed real concern. He let us stay by the pool until 12. I said that was fine and that we'd go out for lunch, which we did. Martina was then upset because we'd accidentally torn a cushion strap that wasn't holding it in place anyway. I offered to pay, but she still made the rest of our stay unpleasant. Maximo, on the other hand, was a pleasure: he checked that we were okay and smiled and said hello when he saw us. I've stayed in some amazing places, and this wasn't one of them. I wouldn't recommend it.

The family running the place were kind and helpful, and the pool was lovely. It gets both sunny and shaded spots throughout the day, which we liked. Restaurants and beaches are a short drive or a moderate walk away, while the property itself is far enough out to stay quiet and relaxing.

We couldn't come to an agreement because we don't speak Italian and they don't speak English, and there was no refund. The pool had been closed since September, but that wasn't mentioned at all, even though the website and terms both said it was open. With nothing to do nearby unless you have a car, we had to leave.
