I loved our stay and would recommend this hotel without hesitation. The pool was heated and fantastic, the WiFi worked well, and the hotel dogs wandering around were the best. Breakfast was delicious and easily worth 10€ a day. The rooms were cleaned perfectly and had everything our family of four needed. The hotel is beautiful and makes a strong impression when you walk in, with a convenient straight road to the old city. Service was impeccable, and everyone was friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated the older woman with glasses. I loved the frankincense scent in the rooms. My only complaint was having to wear a swim cap, which I've never been asked to do at a four-star hotel before, though they provide one if you don't have it. Remember to ask for a robe when you arrive. I don't understand the negative reviews.

It's a fine hotel, so don't let the negative reviews put you off. The staff are nice, the service is good, and the restaurant food is quite decent. It's in a small town, and like many places in Europe, the building is old. They're doing the best they can.

I got such a friendly welcome, and my dog did too. The room and bathroom were roomy and clean, and breakfast was good.

This felt more like a three-star hotel to me. Be careful, the gym and outdoor pool were closed in September 24. The hot tub and Finnish sauna weren't working either. The indoor pool and staff were nice. In my opinion, about 75€ a night would be fair.

Getting to the center on foot was easy, and the price was good. Our premium room was almost decadently large, with a Nespresso machine, and the parking was excellent. The view, though, depends on your side. Ours looked out over petrol stations and roads, which only works if that's your thing. The shower head was tiny and the base of the screen was very mouldy. Sound carried straight through the walls, though thankfully our neighbors only talked briefly and showered briefly too. Reception being down in the basement was a novelty, and dogs were wandering around inside and out. We went into the underground parking and came straight back out, it felt spooky. I would recommend the hotel, but I wouldn't return. Reception could have offered us a choice of room views.
