Hotel Linger

Breakfast was great, and they could accommodate gluten or lactose intolerance without a problem. I spent two days here on my own in a single room, and the stay exceeded what I expected. The room was spotless, with a balcony and a great view; both it and the bathroom were spacious enough for a short visit. The owner and all the staff were friendly and obliging, and I felt completely relaxed. I didn't get to try the pool, so hopefully next time. A lovely little place among the vineyards. I really enjoyed it.

We came to the region for friends' wedding and brought our six-year-old dog. Several nearby hotels turned us away because of the dog, but Hotel Linger was the only one around that accepted pets. The drive in winds through vineyards, with apple trees and vines all around and little else in sight. The hotel was comfortable for a weekend break, but the staff's care really stood out. They left bowls, treats, and even a toy for our dog, put chocolate on the pillows, and gave us apples picked nearby. They also lent us an iron so we could press our wedding clothes. Breakfast was another lovely surprise, with a wide choice, big bowls of fresh berries, a juicer you could use, eggs, charcuterie, homemade apple compote, and excellent coffee. I honestly have no complaints. We had a delightful weekend there.

The hotel sits among vineyards, and we really liked their homemade wine. What made the stay especially easy was how accommodating the family hosts were: they arranged a late check-in, brought a late-night snack when we arrived without having eaten dinner, booked a restaurant and taxi, sorted out a birthday treat, and suggested things to do. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, too. Definitely recommend it for a relaxing break.

Back for a second time this year. Lovely family-run hotel and such great hospitality. Ask them for tips too, they have plenty :)))
