B&B Blu Infinito

We came across Blu Infinito while looking online for information about the power line pylon that connected Calabria and Sicily until 1985. The B&B sits right below it, and staying there turned out to be a real discovery. The view is magnificent, with a constant cool breeze across the Strait and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Recently built, the property has simple rooms that all face the sea and still offer every comfort. The bathroom stood out for its size and spacious shower. Mr. Andrea built Blu Infinito with care and love, and he’s a pleasant presence who never intrudes.

Mr. Canizzo’s hospitality was a real highlight, among the best we’ve come across on our travels. The pool seems to blend into the sea, with a panorama you could keep looking at. Our room was spacious, spotless, well equipped, and had a stunning view from the veranda. The large bathroom had everything we could need. Wi-Fi is included, though it hardly matters when the atmosphere makes you forget your phone. We’ll be back!

The facility is nice, but the service was terrible and the owner incredibly rude. I don’t understand why he deletes negative reviews. Around the pool we had to pick up Coke cans and cigarette butts ourselves, since there was no cleaning service to clear what people left on the pool tables. He kept telling us when we had to vacate the room, and wouldn’t even let us have breakfast there because he wanted us out by 10:00 AM. We also had to follow his pool hours, which weren’t mentioned when booking and were only explained once we arrived. Such a stressful vacation!!!!!

We stopped here on the drive back from Sicily, and it was the perfect finish to our vacation! Waking up to the Strait of Messina, with sea and sky meeting in an unforgettable postcard view, was priceless. The host was friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the room had a lovely, thoughtfully put-together welcome kit. Breakfast was delicious and homemade. Recommended!
