Il Ritrovo di Ulisse Bed & Breakfast

There was nowhere to properly put our clothes: no wardrobe or shelves, and the clothesline outside was so rusty we couldn't use it. When I asked for another, I got no response. The room was awkwardly laid out too, with an uncomfortable soft mattress right in front of the door to the garden, making it hard to get through. Cleanliness could have been better. We were desperate to leave. Never again. The owner required us to choose our breakfast time the day before, then knocked with a moka pot, two reheated frozen croissants, and juice that would give you gastritis. We were traveling with our one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, for whom we paid 30 euros, but when we asked for fruit, anything would have done, they only gave us yogurt. The B&B is by the sea, but that's where the good parts end. The room was run down and had questionable decor, including hanging branches and useless knick-knacks. A horrible experience.

The owner was so kind, and we had a beautiful room, tastefully furnished and very clean, with a little garden out front. Breakfast was delicious and brought to our room. The port is nearby, and we took the ferry to Messina the next day. We'd definitely come back. For dinner, I'd also recommend BOCACCIO, a seafood restaurant close by. We spent one night at this welcoming property.

From the street, the property looked neglected, but stepping inside changed our impression completely. Our room was large and furnished in a distinctive way, and the owners were kind and ready with any information we needed. The private garden was what stood out most. It looks out over the sea, or more precisely, Sicily, and we had an excellent breakfast in the room, included in the price. The place has every comfort and is very close to a particularly unique little spot on the beach opposite the room. There's also an excellent ice cream shop a few meters away on the same street. Recommended, and definitely worth a visit.

The beach is right across from the property, with splendid Sicily in view. Dolphins often pass through the strait, and you can spot them as soon as you step outside. The location is strategic, with the train station just a short walk away and restaurants and bars nearby. You'll forget you even have a car. The place is friendly and clean, the breakfast is perfect, and the owners are always available with advice on places to visit.
