The countryside setting was a welcome change from the city, and the old farmhouse has been turned into hotel rooms. There’s a pool, tennis court, small gym and bikes for cycling around the area. Breakfast was simple, tasty and filling, and there’s a nearby restaurant, with the main town just a couple of minutes away. It’s close to the airport, so a handy choice if you’d rather not drive into Trieste. The surrounding UNESCO area has Roman ruins, which makes a stay worthwhile for history fans. We enjoyed our one night here, and it works well for a short stay in the Trieste area.

The rooms are spacious, and the staff are always ready to help. You can use the pool any time, and there are bikes for exploring the area.

We had a really relaxing few days here with our two kids. The pool and the area around it were great, and we could take the free bikes on a trip to the beach with them. Everything was clean and pleasant. I’d recommend it for a short stay.

The apartments are fantastic and the people are friendly. Getting around to activities is difficult without a car, although bikes are free to use. I’d definitely return.
