Park Hotel Spa & Resort

The pool was dirty and disgusting, and my brother slipped twice on its floor. That was only one of several problems during our stay. There was no air conditioning in the room, which was decorated in an old style. With temperatures of 35 degrees outside, it felt about 20 degrees hotter indoors, like a sauna, and I kept having to change my shirt because I was sweating. When we arrived at night, the road to the entrance was unlit and hard to see. Once inside, the man at reception made me a little uneasy because I thought he had a problem with us. He never even said hello. At breakfast, there was no food on the table, and the water and juice machine didn’t work. We had to ask for at least some bread, even though breakfast ran from 7 to 9:30 and we always came at 8:30. The fire alarm went off at 9 PM. My brother and I went downstairs to ask what was happening, and they said someone had pressed the button by accident, so we returned to our room. Then it sounded again at 2:52 AM, and again at exactly 3. We went down once more, but a different receptionist couldn’t speak English and told us something in Italian that we couldn’t understand. The next morning, the English-speaking receptionist said there was a system problem. Two alarm incidents from a system problem at a four-star hotel, and they couldn’t fix it while we were there? Wow. This was literally the worst hotel of my life. It doesn’t deserve its stars, and I’d tell people not to stay if they don’t want their vacation ruined. Don’t be convinced by the photos.
