Appartamento Meridiana

We stayed with our family in the Meridiana apartment from August 6 to 13, 2023, and the location exceeded what we expected. It's on the first floor of a villa in a quiet area, close to the area's tourist spots. The apartment was impeccably clean throughout. Bedrooms were spacious and tidy, with comfortable beds and pillows. The modern kitchen had everything, including a dishwasher and microwave. The bathroom was a highlight: double sinks and a working whirlpool tub, lovely after a day hiking in the mountains. There are electric shutters, and a vacuum cleaner is available if needed. Downstairs, the garden has a lovely outdoor living area and a barbecue guests can use. We tried it and got excellent results. The whole property is exceptionally well kept. Mauro was a pleasure to be around, and we quickly built a great rapport. He was always available for our needs. I really couldn't find fault, even if I tried. Reading the negative reviews, I can only think they come from a distorted view of reality. It's a shame such untrue reviews would tarnish a place like this. We travel often, and apartments of this quality are hard to find.

The apartment itself was nice, though the garden fell short of the website photos, and the downstairs sofas could use more cleaning. The way we were treated was awful. After a two-hour drive in 36.5-degree heat, we left our dogs in separate rooms because they were new to the place and might fight, then went shopping. The wife accused us of mistreating them and demanded to know who would clean up and pay for damage. The dogs crying didn't seem to be her concern. I know my dogs, and I know what abuse looks like after volunteering with animal rights groups. The husband came over to apologize right after the argument. We wanted to leave but had already paid. Later, I posted only ratings on another site and received a barrage of messages accusing me again, then a lawsuit threat, and finally a block. I've never been treated this way. If dogs aren't welcome, they should be banned from the apartment. I could share screenshots and photos, but I'm too kind. Anyway, have a good life.

The place was so polished, with such refined furniture and finishes, that I felt nervous about touching anything. My dog even peed on a wool rug, completely out of character for him. I was charged 50 euros for the damage, which was exactly what I'd feared. Everything else was perfect, but I won't come back. Hotels have insurance that covers damage.

The owner was very kind and pointed us toward good places to visit nearby. The apartment was spotless and comfortable, with two big bedrooms and a huge modern bathroom featuring a whirlpool tub. It's peaceful there and handy for getting to the towns around it. Highly recommended.
