Agriturismo Corte in Fiore

The music on Christmas Day was even better than the atmosphere, which was already great. I don't eat truffles or mushrooms, and the food was all based on one or both, so I stuck with the basic house wine. It wasn't the best.

The restaurant food was amazing, though the staff there could be friendlier and smile more. The location is gorgeous, the rooms are lovely, and the pool is wonderful. Staff were helpful.

The pool was where we spent most of our days. It was clean and peaceful, and Matti the lifeguard was lovely to chat with. We also had dinner at the restaurant, with tasty food and good service. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the service was quick and friendly. Since we had a very early checkout, they kindly packed breakfast for our trip, which went beyond what we expected. My boyfriend and I stayed three days at this beautiful oasis. The front desk made both check-in and checkout easy, and the rustic design has so many thoughtful details. The grounds are lovely, with friendly cats, goats, pigs, chickens, doves, plus a pond with frogs and turtles. We were there in April, so it was too chilly to swim, but the infinity pool looked really nice. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and the service was great. We got a room last minute at a reasonable price, breakfast included, though jet lag meant we missed it. They even let us check in at 10 a.m. The place is in the countryside just outside Ostia, a short drive from Rome airport. There's no air conditioning, but the window opens wide and brought in a nice breeze, so we were comfortable. The shower was hot with good pressure. I'd recommend it for a night or two, or even just dinner.
