The Monna Lisa Resort

We loved the quiet setting and spacious rooms, and the garden was lovely. The little inn is well connected to the main roads, and Arezzo is a 12 min drive away. The staff were attentive, and Cecilia hosted us so kindly. I hope I've spelled her name right. The scenery on the way to Montepulciano and Siena is gorgeous, and they're only an hour away. The Mosaic of Andreina project is just two minutes from The Monna Lisa resort and is impressive. We enjoyed the area and would like to return to explore more.

It was just so-so.

The room was spotless, and it was already warm when we arrived since the heating was on. Grazie! There was also a minibar. The bed was okay, though my pillow was a bit lumpy and made it hard to sleep. We stayed for one night in early March. It's about a 15-minute drive from the center of Arezzo, and there was construction along the way. The restaurant downstairs was closed on Sunday, although hotel staff first told us it was open. Without a car, sightseeing and places to eat are limited given the location. Breakfast was basic: brioche, dry bread, prosciutto, salami, cheese, crostata, juice, and coffee. There were no eggs or fruit. Maybe that was because we were the only guests out of season, but we'd seen photos of much wider buffet choices on Google Maps, so we were a bit disappointed. The woman serving breakfast was very friendly. Since we arrived on Sunday, we checked ourselves in. We got the lockbox number over the phone and entered the pin code to open the door, which was easy enough. But there were five different types of keys on the ring, and we had to try them one by one.

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of choice and fresh, quality ingredients. Our rooms were spacious, spotless, and had every comfort, while the property felt elegant but welcoming, with care in every detail. The staff were so sweet with our children, always smiling and attentive. They treated all of us with so much kindness and patience, which meant a lot. We were traveling with our children and felt at home from the start. We booked directly with the owner, who was very kind and helpful, and Luana deserves a special thank you for helping even before we arrived. She was attentive, friendly, answered all our questions, and suggested nearby restaurants. She made everything easier and more enjoyable. It's a peaceful place that's also well located for visiting Arezzo. We left smiling and wanting to return. If we're back in Arezzo, we'll think of you. This place will stay in our hearts. ❤️
