We’ve visited Isola della Donzella so far, and next time we’re hoping to see the mouth of the Po di Pila from Captain Marino Cacciatori’s boat. He’s made the Delta his passion and his life. Tenuta Goro Veneto is also a handy base for exploring the whole Delta, the Basilica of Pomposa, and plenty more, so we’ll certainly come back. We’re originally from a branch of the Po near Mantua and wanted to discover the beauty of its Delta. The 18th-century villa has been renovated with its period character intact and modern comforts added. Its big pool, surrounded by greenery, was just right for unwinding after the breathtaking excursions around the Po Delta. Mrs. Marzia looked after us wonderfully, serving hearty, excellent breakfasts and giving detailed answers to everything we asked. Thanks to Marzia for her hospitality and availability, and to the owner, Mr. Livio.

We stayed here a few years ago and came back to find everything just as perfect. The estate is beautiful, restored with respect for tradition, and the large rooms have antique furnishings. The pool is fantastic and peaceful, and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. A heartfelt thank you to Marzia. We’ll definitely be back.

The owners made us feel welcome right away and were so helpful, sharing useful tips that helped us discover the beauty of the Po Delta. We spent two nights surrounded by nature and had a wonderful time. Our room was clean and neatly arranged. Highly recommended!

The garden and swimming pool are lovely, though the pool was still closed for the season when we visited. There’s also convenient parking under a pergola. The natural, peaceful setting is ideal for cycling around the Po Delta. Our rooms were clean and spacious, the service was impeccable, and breakfast was excellent.

We brought our dogs, and the hosts welcomed them warmly. The hosts were very helpful, too. It’s a quiet countryside spot for anyone who enjoys nature and silence, and a great place to start a bike ride. The pool wasn’t usable yet because the season hadn’t warmed up enough, though I imagine it must be lovely and relaxing in summer. Breakfast was excellent, served in a welcoming, well-kept room.
