Il Castello Bed&Breakfast

Anna was so kind and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed. The room felt welcoming and had all the essentials, and it was spotless. The building is brand new and clearly well cared for. Free private parking was a real plus, and the location made it easy to reach both Naples and Caserta. We'd gladly come back.

I left feeling disgusted by the thought that someone may have gone through my things. An item I'd bought on the day I arrived at her bed and breakfast disappeared, and I still had the receipt. The owner never apologized, and she wasn't there when I checked out, which left me wondering. A huge disappointment, and I don't trust her.

The food was inedible, and the restaurant was filthy, with flies and mosquitoes everywhere. My three-year-old son was bitten all over. In the middle of summer, the owner wouldn't let us keep water, especially baby formula, in the restaurant fridge. The room fridge was broken too, so the water and food we put in it were hot the next day. The kitchen in the room was just for show, with a sign saying, “Don't touch it.” Our room was dirty, there was hair in the sheets, and the towels weren't changed. We had to use the same ones for three days. On top of all that, the owner who handles bookings accepted ours, then said after we confirmed that she hadn't recorded it, leaving us without a room. We fought to get it back, but should have avoided the place. A nightmare. Avoid!

The village of Arienzo is small, but lovely to explore on foot. The B&B itself is quiet at night, with a comfortable bed and spotless rooms. The owner is very helpful. Highly recommend.
